CIMG0272.JPGWe have wrapped up another great year growing out here at Terra Nova. Our CSA was a great success after a slow start due to a rainy spring. Our CSA members were pleased with the produce we provided to them.A huge THANK YOU to all of our CSA members this year. Also this year saw us producing a lot more vegetables for schools throughout the Beaverton School District. This year we delivered heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, lemon cucumbers, winter squash and carrots to 13 schools district wide. We also saw huge growth in the number of elementary school students we reached through tours and our mentoring program.

It has been amazing to see our new students step up to the challenges at hand and bring their unique skills to the table. It has also be so encouraging to see some of our elders and graduates return to guide our less "seasoned" students.

We are deep in project mode these days on the farm. Finishing up construction on the greenhouse so it is ready to go in the spring of 2012. Also beginning planning for our crops as the next season promises to be our best and biggest yet. This next year we begin our partnership with PCC Rock Creek and will be growing on over a half acre on their campus. In addition to growing for our CSA and for the BSD we will be producing food for the PCC cafeteria. We are so excited our program will reach so many people of all ages and walks of life.

We hope you all have a warm winter and we look forward to growing with you again in 2012 for our 4th season!!
